Palm Candle Making Tips

Palm wax is a vegetable wax, obtained from the fruit of the oil palm plant. Palm oil is extracted and through multiple processes a line of products from cooking oil, to soaps to candle wax is produced. It is much harder than soy wax, with a melt point of 140F. It is categorized as a botanical wax and is regularly used in soy blend waxes to increase the melt point. Palm wax can be used on its own, and produces beautiful crystal patterns within the interior and surface of the candle, if utilized correctly.
Palm candles maintain their shape, excellent in centerpieces and groupings where liquefying wax is a problem.
